The firm is founded by Marcellino Mutti (1862 -1941) with the name of Brothers Mutti to Basilicanova of Montechiarugolo as industry conserviera of the tomato.
In 1911 the firm gets the first recognition with the Diploma of gold Medal of Primo Grado to the exposure International Industry and Agriculture in Rome and in 1914 the firm gets the diploma of Gran Cross, with registration to the Gran gold Book of the Benemeritis of the job.
In 1951 the plastic tube is born for the assembled of tomato.
The born firm as relative, become first Society of fact, then Society in collective name and finally Stock companies in the 1979.
In 1994 it becomes managing director Francesco Mutti, in 1999 the firm is the first one to get the Certification of Integrated Production.
In 2004 the Mutti
