The firm Callipo was founded by Giacinto Callipo January 14 th 1913 to End.
To the beginnings of the years sixty Phillip Callipo (II generation), with his/her child Giacinto, moves the establishment to the Tonnara Angitola, next to End.
It is with Giacinto third generation of the Callipos, in the production of tuna to the oil of olive.
In 1972 it decides to manage the firm with his/her/their child Phillip (IV generation) that assumes the direction in the 1981.
With him the firm in 1988 moves him to the actual center of Maierato.
The establishment extends him on a surface around 34.000 m2s, with over 190 employees and an annual productive ability of around 15.000 tons. The Callipo sells in Italy 92% of the production, while the remainder is commercialized in Austria, France, England, Germany, Canada, Australia, United States and Japan
