Giulio Bolaffi (Turin, March 7 th 1902. Turin, 28 October 1987)he has been an Italian philatelist.
It was president of the homonym Turinese society of collezionismo.
Been Born in the Piedmontese chief town by Alberto and Victoria Foa, it started to help his/her father, founder of the firm, facing in the meantime the classical studies to the high school "Massimo of Azeglio" of Turin and the degree in jurisprudence, achieved to twenty-two. In 1933 he/she married Palmina Seghesio with which it had two children, Stella (in the 1934) and Alberto (in the 1936). Following the events that struck the people of Jewish religion of Italy with the promulgation of the racial laws, his/her brothers Roberto and Giving they emigrated; Giulio, remained instead in Italy, becoming, after September 8, partisan in the valleys of Lanzo, with the name of battle of "Mountains.

Subsequently the Committee of National Liberation assigned him the tall Valley of Susa and its name it became "Aldo Laghi"; to head of the Division "Starlet", he fought in Val of Susa up to June 26 1945. At the end of the war, returned home, motivated also from the desire to employ his/her ex-companions of Resistance, Bolaffi it started a publishing activity publishing the first magazine of information of the postwar period, you week in the world.
The index book philatelist, regularly published by this periodical, it represented the nucleus of the following one "Week philatelist", forerunning of the monthly one "The Collector", and of the catalogs philatelists that replaced the old prezziaris of sale of the Bolaffi.
In the 1946 Bolaffi you/he/she had restarted in Turin the activity philatelist with the opening of a shop.
